In recent weeks we have seen Iran become a hotbed of spontaneous "protests" . Maybe we should look into the past to understand this future a little bit better and see whose long game is in play. Back in June of 2017 a agency located in Langley Virginia decided via the Trump doctrine that it was best to set up an exploratory division looking into Iran affairs.

The leader of said unit is none other than the agency's most highly effective lethal drone strikes program director Michael D’Andrea. Mr. D'Andrea a convert to Islam and life long Middle East affairs operations chief has a reputation as an Iran hawk with deep rooted disdain for the country. Being a Islam convert and Sunni leaning ; it's pretty obvious what direction his mind is set on. As IS were majority Sunni and waged a war against the Shia of Iraq and Syria with operational help "allegedly" from western interests and other Sunni leaning countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar . It's not a far fetch idea that D'Andrea was in the loop on many of the conflict zones during the war.
Now that we have that brief background on what our intelligence agency was up to last year ; we can now look at the "Who" they intend to use as their proxy force to obtain said administration goals with Iran.
Let me introduce to you fighting out of the 1980's Afghanistan corner of the world the Mujahideen-e-Khalq or known simply as the MEK. These are the current Protester ring leaders in 2018 Iran. But to give you some lengthy background on this proxy force I'll let the great journalist Seymour Hersh speak to you via his 2012 article in the New Yorker publication .

How can we get away with actively training terrorists listed on the national terror watch-list you may ask? Well it just so happens that 8 months after the initial JSOC training of said terrorist organizational members on US Soil mind you that they were mysteriously and coincidentally removed from the State Dept terror watch-list by none other than Hillary Clinton. As reported by Reuters journalist Andrew Quinn in September of 2012 , excerpt from the piece linked below. Pay close attention to the last paragraph of the story which basically hints at the fact that without the MEK being on the terror list; that it clears the pathway for arming of the force via weapons drops and money exchanges without the result of federal penalty . Makes things a little clearer now in 2018 when we know that IS was getting arms and cash from some very well off foreign country backers....
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took the decision, effective on Friday, in view of the MEK’s public renunciation of violence, the absence of confirmed acts of terrorism by the MEK for more than a decade, and their cooperation in the peaceful closure of their paramilitary base in Iraq, the State Department said in a statement.
“With today’s actions, the Department does not overlook or forget the MEK’s past acts of terrorism, including its involvement in the killing of U.S. citizens in Iran in the 1970s and an attack on U.S. soil in 1992,” the statement said.

One could even make the determination after reading the above evidence that the MEK may have been IS and now since the Caliphate has been destroyed , mostly by Russia and Iran ; that the remaining IS forces have now adopted an old familiar tag ... the MEK kind of tag.
Now it's the year 2014 and the MEK has established itself in north eastern Iraq just outside of Iran and also developed a branch in France which just so happens to have had the most IS terrorist attacks over the past 4 years. Charlie Hebdo , Paris concert , and so on... These two groups sure have a lot in common don't they; but there's more similarites to come. As the August 2014 article by Ariane Tabatabai explains some of the more brutal practices by the MEK cult. "what Iranians understand, but the American MEK supporters choose to ignore, is the MEK’s track record of human-rights abuses. The MEK controls every aspect of its members’ lives and tortures them. Some of these human-rights abuses include: mass, compulsory divorces, beatings and torture, costing some members their lives, and solitary confinements so extreme that some members preferred to take their lives than be subjected to them." Sounds like what IS instituted when they took over a village doesn't it...

In conclusion we can see the moving of the chess pieces on the board. It's the same ole regime change playbook on display. Using proxy forces to create a narrative of domestic uprisings that spontaneously occur. This strategy may have worked on lesser Middle Eastern states in the past but it will be hard pressed to achieve a foot hold in a more developed and highly educated country such as Iran. But if we remember this has all been a long game plan by the US to destabilize and enforce a regime change pentagon doctrine across the Middle East post September 2001 :

I believe it's pretty obvious what the plan is with Iran and what side of the field the US is on . The Atlantic published a piece on December 31st 2017 talking about the protests and what religious context the majority of the protesters were pushing. Hint : It was to suppress the religious clerics and institute a more strict version of Islam. "They soon spread to Qom, Iran’s holiest city, where protesters expressed nostalgia for Reza Shah, the 20th-century modernizing autocrat who ruthlessly repressed the clergy."
