Dublin calling! Today I went to the Royal Dublin Society, for the annual Horse Show! π
It is a festival every year here in Dublin, near the end of summer. There are lots of different shows and competitions, but also things like demonstrations and shops. This was my first time going, but I want to go every year now because it was so excellent! I wish I could own a horse some day, but for now I'm not wealthy and I live in my little "cosy" place in the city. However, I can still enjoy and appreciate horses and the lovely people who care for these animals.
Have a look at some of my photos. I'm no photographer, but hopefully it helps demonstrate the fun atmosphere at the horse show...
Of course I met lots of horses, both small and big...
My favourites were the real ones! Very beautiful and powerful animal. These riders make it look easy, but I have tried and it's not as easy as it looks, for sure!
There were so many shops, selling mostly equestrian equipment and gifts. Definitely an expensive hobby. Well, more than a hobby for many people. A lifestyle!
Friendly faces! My friend Frank (above on right) is an artist and gallery owner. His friend did a caricature sketch of me!
I spent some time sketching too. Art is one of my favourite hobbies. Maybe some day I will share some of my paintings...
I sketched my friend Frank! Hmmm, I feel like I should start doing art again more often. It was really enjoyable. Sometimes I neglect my hobbies!
So, ice cream and horses and artwork and sunshine and wonderful people. This was a really amazing day for me. If you ever go to Ireland at this time of year, you should visit the Horse Show, even if you're not interested in horses!
Well, that's my photo diary for today! Thanks for visiting. Please if you have any comments or blogging tips, I would love to hear them. I really wish I can do some great blogs on here.
Also, how are you? Please say hello in the comments. I love interacting with the amazing Steemians!

Amazing post!
That's very nice thing you say! Thanks!
It looks great! Thank you for that :)
If you have any tips I do appreciate that so much!
I am new too :)
Didn't know you could draw, what a talent @Vajola :D
I was that close to being there today! If I'd seen you I probably would have recognised you from your blog pics. I might have been tempted to introduce myself to a fellow Steemian. You can't do that with someone you randomly recognise from Facebook.
Hi! Thanks for comment! I would be so flattered and shocked haha. See you at the Steem Dublin thing in the pub!
Yes, plan to be at the next one.
Epic post V! You're kicking ass here! Glad to see you've taken my tips on board. Hope things continue to go well. See you at the weekend.
looks like you had a good time :)
Hey! Thanks for the comment. Yes it was amazing. I wish I can go more often but it only happens once a year.
Hi what an amazing day out. I love those red riding boots in the boot photo! π
I have been thinking about getting a horse he in Costa Rica as the roads are non existent, there are really steep hills and horses are easier to keep healthy than cars here! Lol your sketch was looking good too. Loving your posts
