Islam is a religion and it is built around the oneness of Allah--the God. The Islamic religious book Quran and the character and personality of the Last messenger are quite fascinating. Sayings and practices of Muhammad are also quite fascinating. “Islam” is obviously an Arabic word. Its root is “s-l-m”. This root has various meanings. It means peace, security, and submission. Peace means peace of heart and mind. Peace means peace in society. Peace means peace in homes. Peace means the absence of war. Peace means the absence of disturbance. Peace means tranquillity of mind. War means to fight so peace means the absence of fight. The absence of fight in homes. The absence of fight within the mind. Peace also means the absence of conflicts. Freedom from all sorts of dangers and problems is security so one who follows Islam will get out of dangers and problems of all kinds. Submission of one’s will to the will of Allah is also called Islam and only those will experience peace of heart who will genuinely submit their will to the will of Allah. So Islam means executing the will of Allah manifested in the Quran and manifested in the practices of the messenger Muhammad pbuh. Islam is a bunch of the bounties of Allah but it mainly offers the peace of heart and it offers a meaningful life. It offers a life of purpose and a life of spiritual tranquility. According to Islamic sources, Islam is there since the creation of the universe and since the creation of the first man Adam A.S. who is the first messenger as well. Yes, humans can live without Islam but they will face very serious problems like mental illness and like single-parents and problems due to drinking alcohol etc. These are just a few mentions. They will be able to live a life on earth without Islam but their life will be meaningless and their hearts will be empty and their minds will be scattered. The humans can live a life without Islam but they will pay a high cost in this world and they will burn in the Hell forever, forever!
