An ancient cannon from colonial times looks out on the new protectors of the coastline and surrounding seas.
The old cannons are cankered and pitted with rust from centuries of exposure to the corrosive salty sea air.
The new coast guard are pumping out their ballast tanks of excess sea water while taking a break in port.
The port in Port Louis Mauritius.
Is this in Cape Town. I wonder how far those old canons could shoot.
Man even if they could they probably wouldn't even make a dent in the new ships ;)
Ha ha, very true.
old cannon with many stories in the past
I love when I find this kind of historical things because I always stare for a moment thinking who could touch this and how could be all this place in that time ..
