Well, if you thought about buying a desktop or laptop, or if you thought about upgrading your existing PC, wait a moment before you spend your money and get some tools to understand if what you buy is what you need.

WTF is HDD?
It's the hard disk with moving parts, and if you wonder why the computer makes small noises and squeaks when it works like a freezer ... er ... ..rrrrr, sometimes it also does sssssss ... or frerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, than you should know it looks like a little like record from a low-budget science fiction movie. It has a plate and an arm. YUP. Not that it really interests you, because I might as well have said i it looked like a Kinder egg toy. Since we will not talk about the anatomical structure of the HDD today, remember the following: Moving parts. Brrrrrrrr Ssssssss.

SSD
It is a hard disk without moving parts and it saves the information on chips. like a USB flash drive. Same idea.
In HDD, the speed of writing and reading information on the computer (which allows you to run programs, save files, etc.) is based on the speed of the mechanical plate rotation inside. The more rotations at a given time, the faster the speed of writing and reading the information. The HDD on a home computers usually has a range of about 5400 to 7200 spins per minute (on servers, for example, it can also be about 2-3 times more).
The SSD does not have moving parts ... there are chips. Like on your mobile. There's a 64-gigabyte chip, a 128-gigabyte chip, and so on. You will hear or read about something called NAND. This is the technology on which the SSDs are based, and no ... If you are not professional photographers, video editors, hardcore gamer ... it should not interest you right now. If you want to expand (and believe me, you can dig here ...) Just ask.
SSDs are faster than HDD drives. It means faster loading of the operating system, faster file transfer. Kapish?
Noise
The SSDs make less noise and charge less battery power, allowing you to get more "juice" from your laptop battery.
Stores really like to emphasize in their specifications the fact that the computer has an SSD drive. It's OK. But if you notice, the memory storage will typically be lower compared to HDD for a given budget.
This is also one of the reasons why more professional computers cost more. They just love these SSD'S.....
Life Expectancy
SSD drives also have a limit to the amount of writing and reading they can do. Like everything in life.
If most of your business will be open up Word files, or see movies , you'll be just fine. But if you edit , write and delete files intensively every day, you are actually grinding those chips more quickly.
The life span varies from brand to brand and it is important to read their specs or talk to the store seller to figure out if it can meet your requirements.
Endurance
An SSD disk has no moving parts as opposed to a HDD. The chances of something breaking down in the SSD seem to be lower. Say you got really mad at the computer, and you decided to slam it like a pro boxer. So the chances of the SSD surviving are higher than the rest of the HDD's out there.
Now an important part. Many people buying a hard drive , "discover" to their great surprise that it was "not" really 1 terabyte. But 994 gigabytes. Do not worry, if this happened to you you are not alone. Usually, what you'll see in the specification is different from what you'll see on your computer due to quite a few reasons. It could be because of the operating system, it could be because they installed more things on it at the computer factory or the fact manufacturers calculation method works differently than the operating systems. It's OK. Really.
Not that you could have done anything more useful with that giga and a half they took from you.
