There are so many faces to this city
First and foremost it is alive, very alive
It is buzzing with life
Here's an example of what I see when I cycle around downtown
The rolling metal shutters of a south Tel Aviv kiosk are a fine canvas for the city's grafity artists
Decorated tiles, worn from decades of footsteps
A building next to the old fresh produce wholesale market, now demolished
Ecclectic architecture from Tel Aviv's early days. New hirise buildings have changed the city dramatically
I love these circular openings. They let in natural light into the common hallway
The sky scraper in the background is now complete, fully occupied, and one of the most expensive real estate properties in Tel Aviv
Herzel Street. A busy part of downtown since the first days of the city
Typical Tel Aviv street tree. The city has a lot of Bengal Ficus trees too (not pictured) but that is a different post in the making
Color. Art. Life. Tel Aviv attracts creative types among others
Bustling bars, coffeshops and restaurants. Friday noon, before the weekend is especially busy. People spill out to the public benches on the sidewalks

I hate this part of the city
Sorry to hear that. However there are interesting contradictions in south TLV plus the early history

Want to have your post on the map too?
I have enjoyed this tour with you because of your insightful remarks. I would not have appreciated any of it without them but you opened my eyes to what you enjoy.
Keep up the good work.
I specially love the contrast between ancient and modern.
