Hello Hive fam,
Today I am sharing some of my favorite content and drone footage from our honeymoon in Italy.
In these times where people are not travelling and everyone is mostly residing within their towns, it feels great to look back to some of the amazing times we had travelling, and will get to again in the near future.
Our trip starts us off in the Amalfi Coast region of Italy. The first week of the trip we nestled down in our airbnb in Furore, Italy. This was the cutest little place, and the best part is our host was a chef who ran the restaurant upstairs.
They were so helpful in getting us comfortable and making it the best honeymoon ever. We started by loading up from the local grocery spot to get all of the freshest farm to market produce.
As you can imagine, we took it easy the first couple of days. One thing we could not resist however was the water and getting out on a boat to see the coast from down below.
During our boat tour, we stopped by the island of Capri, where we made a friend through using google translate since we did not speak Italian and she did not speak English. She was so welcoming and even took us into her property to serve us vino and cookies before sending us on our way. Thank goodness for technology and google translate!
On the way back we stopped through some towns and supported some local businesses by buying dishes and gifts to be shipped back home, on top of the wine we were sending home of course.
During our trip we not only got to eat this amazing dinner prepared by our host, but we also got an amazing cooking class with him. Talk about a one stop shop.
Here is us during our cooking class.
Not only that but down the street was a beautiful bed and breakfast called Serafina. We had an outstanding home cooked dinner by the family there and they gave us a tour of the property. Everything we had for dinner came right from their land including the cheese from the livestock they have, the wine and yes of course limoncello, and even the homemade ice cream. MmMmMmMm
We still have this cheese and limoncello at our place now from this trip, so good!
Side note, some of the lemons we had were bigger than a grapefruit or softball. That was definitely a first for me.
For our second week, we were spoiled by our guides who took us all over the Italian wine regions, and even a medieval town called Suvereto where we stayed in a castle for a night.
On the way, they showed us a local honey producer so we got to go have a tasting and I got to see my first queen bee!
On one of our stops at Argiano, the owner was so nice to bring out a bottle of red that dated back to 1978, more than a decade before I was born.
We were able to have private tours and wine tastings from some of the worlds best wine producers. It was very eye opening to understand and learn about the wines produced and efforts that go into the process. Everyone made our trip truly one of a kind!
Comment below if there is anything you want to know or more details about our trip, and I will gladly provide the details.
Here is my first drone video edit I was able to make, hope you all enjoy!
Very beautiful 😍 thanks
