It is always good to know who to blame
Yeah, @uwelang, that German marketing and sales guy. He was „hanging“ out at my booth during a fair in Hannover. This was way back in time in March 2017

Hey Hive Family
time to say thank you
to that person who moved you to Hive
and let us travel the world again
to spread the word about #Hive
The CeBIT
CeBIT 2017 happened in Hannover, Germany, from March 20 to 24. It was all about tech, focusing on things like communication, it infrastructure and digital transformation.
That year, around 200,000 people showed up to check it out. There were also about 3,000 exhibitors coming from 70 different countries.

The whole event mixed product showcases, talks, and networking — perfect for anyone into business and technology.
You saw Detlev on some talks and some stages talking about tech stuff and how the world will change. We had this cool live stream booth with tons of interviews with all the experts hanging out at the fair.

Basically, it was one of the biggest spots for tech lovers and professionals to connect and see what’s new.
Hannover fair ground
So many halls and so much walking. See where we met in hall 12 or so.

Autonomous car
Even back in 2017, we had some cars without a driver.

and a few empty halls to use that cars for a ride

Who to blame?
Why not having some fun on #Hive by giving credits the that person who made you join hive.
Just use #ItIsHisFault or to be correct #ItIsHerFault and spread some extra Love ❤️ for the 5th Birthday of #Hive

Thank you @uwelang
You made me addicted to this new world. By your extra pack of motivation I started my journey into hive.
This took me into a totally new world and I met a damn huge amount of great people.

I've still not met @uwelang even though we have known each other for many years. I did go to CeBIT way back in about 1989. I was working in Germany and my boss sent me there to do some research. I still have some merch items I picked up there.
Cheers to 5 years of Hive!

Hi @steevc I had many short nights during several years doing CeBIT as an exhibitor with small own booth and even bigger one.
Internet killed this event as the amount of visitors went down because information was available faster and with less travel
I've not been to many exhibitions of any kind in recent years. Years ago I went to plenty for computers, music or even housebuilding. I know some Hivers are representing us at crypto events. I think meeting in person still has value.
It has and it always will be great to meet in person
But the possibilities of digital meetings, even in larger groups, is offering a lot faster communication and a faster exchange of knowledge.

my sincere apologies I dragged you into this blockchain thing @detlev - remember that CeBIT pretty well, was freaking cold. Think we met first time in person the year or 2 years before at CeBIT, 2015 or 2016?
Don’t forget our time at TSU ;-)
We should have more positive victims like you !
I try my best in this topic, but it is not as easy as it looks like
For me it was Gregory Mannarino, the self declared Robin Hood of Wall Street, who got me interested in Steemit in 2017. He had just joined Steemit shortly before.
He is still vlogging here and on YT, forecasting one financial apocalypse after another.
And looking at the Trump administation performing, he has more reason for it than ever before.
Quite an interesting initiative to go back in memories and find out how the journey started, give the credit - for me, I just landed on steemit by chance.
And what made you stay??
Fantastic!
Congrats!
