WATCH: James Conner baked cupcakes to promote mom and pop bakery

This is way cool. In order to help promote #NationalMomandPopBusinessOwnersDay, Pittsburgh Steelers second-year running back James Conner helped baked cupcakes at the Bartram House Bakery on the South Side.

Just watch Conner in action. He's looks like a natural in the bakery and does an awesome job making "Cookie Monster Cupcakes." The cupcakes come to life at about the 3:40 marker.

Ultimately, Conner finishes decorating a whole sheet of cupcakes which the bakery sells in individual boxes. But, Connor could not help but giving away one that he said "was on me -- no charge."

Outside of the bakery, Connor was drafted by the Steelers 105th overall as a backup to running back Le'Veon Bell. The young running back is a hometown favorite after overcoming his battle with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2015.

Due to his popularity and his background story, Conner had second-best selling NFL jersey last July following the 2017 NFL Draft. He currently ranks No. 11 in SNIPdaily's Steelers Top 40.

If for some reason Bell's holdout on his team lingers into the season (more on that here), Conner would be up for a larger workload this fall.
