True, if you are 100% Japanese, there is lots of social cohesion, but if you're not, living in Japan can feel very lonely.

Anyway, my point is that James Corbett is right. There is lots of wonderful stuff to see in Japan, but Japanese people are caught in the same trap as westerners: our education and media exposure shape how we perceive the world. Breaking out of this mental prison,so to speak, is not an easy task.
