Java IPFS Client v1.1.1

in #java7 years ago (edited)

A software to upload files/folders to IPFS

Standalone IPFS client written in Java

With this tool you can run a whole IPFS node just by one click, and upload files and folders easily.

Is this another IPFS API for Java?

No, this is a standalone client that runs an IPFS node, avoiding commands or scripts, for lazy or unskilled people

But you can connect the java-ipfs-api to this node in order to do some hacks

Usage

Once the program started, you can right click the window in order to:

  • Upload a single file, not embeded in a directory

  • Upload a directory

For both actions, an IPFS hash is returned.

You can then access your file or directory by going to:

http://127.0.0.1:8080/ipfs/<the-hash>

I recommend you to install IPFS-Companion, a browser extension that simplifies access to IPFS files

You can toggle the IPFS node by clicking the "toggle" button.
