I haven't heard of the GGC before, but I like the concept. While we are waiting on a verdict, why not take the time to appreciate that our only hope for survival is small-independent communities in areas at least two hours from major cities.
In my opinion, if you spend more time/energy trying to "bring Berwick to justice", while you still live in a big city or don't have garden--well, that's not time well spent. Something as simple as planting an apple tree today will be worth more to you in the future than getting to the bottom of a transaction you weren't even a party to.
As much as I like the concept, I would like to think I would be extra cautious before handing over thousands of dollars to ANYONE. There used to be a concept of, "buyer beware." I see the same sort of monkey see monkey do behavior in crypto currencies. Many people blindly race into them with very little understanding of the risks--they just don't want to miss out.
