In 1865 the secret service was formed to go after counterfeit money makers. The US constitution has protected the issuance of money in at least 2 articles. Not to mention all the later laws, especially taxation laws. Crypto currencies are not just stepping on the toes of the FED (real bosses) in the creation of money, they are also currently operating outside the reach of taxation. If they keep Satoshi alive, he'd probably get at least an equivalent term to counterfeiting, 20 to 25 years, and tax evasion, 5 to 7 years. He could be out sooner for murder.
