So, the source is different from the one I provided. How can cheetah know what the original source was? Even if the date is different, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. There may be many reasons for this - it's a generic joke. I actually have a version of this joke in a printed book from before 2006 about jokes on the Internet.

Surely, cheetah should first check the source that is given first?!

If it has something to do with the relative length of the description, then all I can say is, how much description do you want for a joke which has no copyright? No descriptions are required when someone posts an hour long video or a copyrighted picture. I am now inclined to post only one-liners without a description as to why I find the joke important or interesting. Unlike others, I usually give a personal reason why I post a joke, video, or quote.

My personal opinion is that cheetah has sloppy programming. It is not just me - many others have complaints, too.

Please take this criticism on board as SteemIt has enough problems as it is.
