KSNA, g the Los Angeles metropolitan area. It is also known as Orange County airport and it is located in the city of Santa Ana, approximately 30 miles southeast of LAX. Nearby points of interest and attractions include Orange County’s affluent and popular coastal cities of Newport Beach, Huntington Beach and Laguna Beach as well as the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim and the University of California’s Irvine campus. From a flight simulation perspective, KSNA is among the most interesting medium-size airports in the US thanks to its relatively short runway (5700 ft.) and the stringent noise abatement procedures imposed by the neighboring communities which combine to deliver exciting takeoffs and landings.
Our scenery features the most accurate and detailed rendition of John Wayne airport’s unique and distinctive terminal complex available for FSX and Prepar3D. The facility is subdivided into three terminals, A, B and C. Terminal C is the most recent addition, built as an extension toward the south to accommodate Southwest Airlines increasing traffic. The new addition blends seamlessly with the older terminals and increased the total number of boarding gates to 22. The most distinctive architectural features are the clean curves of the semi-cylindrical metallic roof sections. The least attractive, however, are the massive parking structures surrounding the terminal. Our scenery also includes the great majority of general aviation and cargo facilities within the airport boundaries as well as the ATC tower and the new fire station.
Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
