Liquid Sunshine & Café Relocations

It's amazing how much effect the weather has on my performance haha. Today has been in that 3-5ºC range that usually feels colder than sub-zero temperatures. Someone explained the how and why of it but I can't find it. It's out there, somewhere, on the Internet.

It was also precipitating, going from drizzle to hail and everything in between, with thick grey clouds all day. That's a major mood killer for me. I got woken by some unknown noise around 4am after which it was difficult for me to get back to sleep. Hence by midday it felt like I'd been up for two days straight.

I've seen had 2 cups of coffee - surprisingly not more. I'm generally lethargic and somewhat down. I was sure to take my Vitamin D supplement today. I've missed a few days lately probably because of some of the blue sky days we've had. I'm always reminded on days like this to top up on some liquid sunshine. It's not just a mood thing,

It's also an immunity thing. There are a lot of germs making the rounds this winter. There are at least four of them wreaking havoc amongst the elderly and very young children. I recently got an alert on my phone to avoid visiting A&E, or Hospitals generally, in my area due to over-crowding. It was almost at pandemic levels for a little while and the staff were apparently overwhelmed. I believe it's eased off a little now.

I tried to work at home today but I was totally demotivated. It was also so cold indoors that I'd have to have the heating on all day. I made the economic decision and relocated to a cafe :). The amount spent on coffee was saved in not having to burn my own gas all day. Besides being out gave me more motivation to actually get some work done.

I may do this for the rest of winter actually or find a compromise. We have a library nearby with a working desk area I could use. I've seen people take laptops there. The downside is the lack of coffee but I can take my own. I have a coffee flask I can use that holds two servings. That'd do.

Peace & Love,

Adé

Sometimes It actually works like that where we want to work from home but at the same time it is feeling like we did not even want to work

So true. Love the name "consistency" by the way 👍

Tired of life but I didn't want to give up and so I used the word consistency
