You're Not Unique
I know we all like to believe we're unique in this world. The truth, unfortunately (or fortunately depending), is that we are not really. The old saying "there's nothing new under the sun" rings so true. The irony is that there's something actually really comforting in realising that you as a person aren't really objectively special in any way shape or form. The fact that somewhere, sometime, someone is experiencing, has experienced or will experience what I am experiencing now, is very reassuring indeed.
