The Joy of Travel

in #journey7 years ago

It isn’t in the destination, but rather in the spirit of the journey. It is in these roads far and between places, inexistent in individual maps. It is in these hidden valleys, in the midst of endless rivers and forests, in the waterfalls somewhere beneath these shades of mountains. It is in the humble souls I encounter, whose gestures of kindness become a memory that lasts me a lifetime. Every journey to the unknown is an adventure full of mystery, challenges, unexpected encounters and unpredictable outcomes, which ultimately transform us and reward us with life-changing experiences. Enjoy and embrace the journey, for there is yet much to discover and learn from it.

I love your writing . it is beautiful. where was the photo taken at ?

Thank you! The photo was taken somewhere on the way to the Tiger Leaping Gorge in Southern China, Yunan Province. It took us five days to get there on foot. The first two days we trekked up the steep steps on horses and then I believe three more on foot. There are many Naxi villages along the way to stay and find food. I believe now you can get to the Gorge by car.

I have been reading about the place for a couple of years. yes I think there is transport option available ., thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures.

I agree @anavictoriakong. In the end, it's our journey to the destination that we really enjoyed the most!
