Serve the Lord with joy

in #joy7 years ago

11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. - Psalm 2:11-12

The joy which is from God focuses on the Son by us having real appreciation and adoration of Him.
Let’s be realistic that without what Jesus did for us we would have all perished, period.
Without His intercession for us before the Father we would stand no chance before the perfect and just requirements of our God.
If not His Holy Spirit whom He sent from the Father to us to guide us and comfort us we would have been confused, in error, defeated and destroyed long time ago.
The grace of the Son is what makes us exist in God’s good plan and it is what ensures that His plan would be fulfilled in spite of our occasional mishaps and mistakes.

This verse is so well balanced.
Rejoice for what the Son did for you but “tremble” or be aware how real and close destruction was and is and how only His grace is holding you up and keeping you safe because He loved you so much that He gave Himself for you.
You are so blessed in Him, may be the words above helped you realise more how much indeed, because He is your hope and your refuge.
Kiss Him ie love and adore Him!
