RE: On The Path To A Fairer Future!

Amazing post!!! I totally resonate with everything you have to say! I am dirt poor, but crypto enables me to share a "piece of the pie." Instead of coming up with 10 shares of stock at $246 fiat dollars each (which you have to buy whole shares, plus pay broker) I can easily buy the crumbs. It's affordable and I'm making money. I use an offline wallet, only I did have a huge scare last week at the airport. They searched my wallet and told me I should have taken my flash drive out and put it in the electronics bin. So, I got to Dallas for my layover and stepped outside the airport for an hour. When I checked back in, I placed my flash drive in the bin with the electronics. When I got to the end of the line, I put everything back in my backpack and rushed off. Got to the restaurant for dinner, opened my wallet, no flash drive. PANIC!!! We ran back to TSA and they checked every bin. No flash drive. Shit!!! I put in a lost and found request with my phone number and gate. I still had an hour. As my plane started boarding, phone rings.....it's TSA they found it!!! I almost kissed the TSA agent that delivered it to me. Lesson learned. He said we never have to do that and doesn't know why El Paso made me take it out as an electronic. Anyways, It's been a great experience so far!!! Just a few rough bumps getting started. @teamsteem you have been very helpful with tips along the way and I'm really enjoying my time here with "like minds." So refreshing!

Holy shit. That was your only sample of that wallet. Back it up more than once.

agreed. Back up and encrypt to an onsite location, an ofsite location, and to the cloud. MAKE SURE you encrypt it before you put it on the cloud though, otherwise if it gets hacked, it's toast. I would never trust cloud services when they "claim" to have "secure encryption technology". Cryptomator is a good solution to this problem.

Haha, yeah! I had just created it while visiting my crypto buddies in NM and was going to do the rest when I got home....all was good, but tough lesson learned ;)
