So I was sitting at home and thinking when I should start writing my lab report while waiting for the laundry to get dry, I had this thought and wanted to write it down.
I like church people, but not the kind of things they want me to follow.
It's like advertisers that come up to you an introduce their product. They themselves are nice people, at least take it as that, but their product isn't that great. So you are not interested, case closed. But with church people, they promote their holy lifestyle over yours, try to convince you that their way is more godly, better than the worldly life, which I do agree depending on what context they are talking about. But the problem is, if you are interested in them like socializing instead of what they are preaching, then you got a "problem"? That is what I don't like. And even when you believe in what they are preaching or maybe to an extent that you practice the same way they do, but eventually want to go back to your old lifestyle then you are "backsliding" which is a concern. Now I just want to be left alone and not having to bother people wanting to influence my lifestyle with "you either choose God or choose the world, but God is always the better choice". I know God is the better choice, but leave me be, especially when I want to serve my God according to my own conscience instead of listening to you telling me how to serve. Or explain how your way is "better" or how it should be. I hear what you are preaching, but leave me alone and let me figure if I want to invest my time in it. Your lifestyle is interesting to me, but don't expect me to follow because you would choose a certain lifestyle if you were in my shoes.
