Declan is an amazing milk guzzler!
Gabi is a bit slower and a slimmer build.Theyre in their summer pouches at the moment as its been so hot here in NSW, Australia.
They are a joy to be around, watch and observe.
The Eastern Grey are native to this country, they are a gentle ,close family unit, all are unique and different in their own special way.
The females will stay around the mothers for life, the males can sometimes go off to form their own mob.
*They are a protected species here, although its hard to believe there is a cruel kangaroo MEAT AND LEATHER industry that exists with the GOVERNMENTS permission.There is MUCH PROPARGANDA around their existence in AUSTRALIA, spread by farmers that are paranoid about them stealing their precious livestock grazing grounds.
*Fact...1 cow eats as much as 60 kangaroos.
Fact...Kangaroos are NOT farmed!
Fact...600,000 to 800,000 joeys are killed every year by shooters by bludgeoning or starved to death when separated from their mothers.
FACT...30-40% killed are females.
FACT...there is no accountability or regulation in the killing fields at night when the shooters hunt kangaroo.Most do not die instantly.
FACT....kangaroos carry a large amount of intestinal worms.Not fit for human consumption or YOUR PETS.
The First Nations people of this country have a DEEP SPIRITUAL CONNECTION to the Kangaroo.They have been here for as far back as 60,000 years and were part of the MEGA FAUNA.

I left the day before the rescuer gave them to you to care for, such a shame I missed them, but so glad that you are looking after them and that they are doing well.
What must go on in their young minds when they are suddenly separated from their mum's pouch so suddenly?
They must be in such shock and then scared to death when they realise that they now have no mother and are being bought up not only by a complete stranger, but by a human being instead.
And I am sure that like every human that suffers such loss, they will go through the whole devastating cycle of grief, including PTSD from the trauma too.
Such horror for such innocent little creatures.
