I came up with this recipe while testing in the kitchen. I wanted something Cajun like jambalaya but also wanted soup. So I just combined the ideas! I think it turned out pretty good! Put this on before work and when you get home dinner is ready!
Ingredients:
1 whole chicken
1 pkg andouille sausage (14 oz)
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 onion
2-3 bell peppers
3 stalks celery
3 cups chicken broth
Cajun seasoning to taste
Instructions:
- Chop sausage and add to crock pot
- Shred chicken and add to pot
- Chop onions and add
- Chop bell peppers and add
- Chop celery and add
- Add chicken broth
- Add Cajun seasoning to taste
- Stir
- Slow cook for up to 8 hours
- Taste and add more cajun seasoning if needed
- Add Heavy cream
- Stir
- Enjoy
