As part of a joint release with Hive Multisig, we are updating Hive Keychain Beta to v3.7, introducing 2FA capabilities.

This is only available for testing on Keychain Beta (a separate extension from the production Keychain). It will be available for everyone in a couple of weeks if everything goes well.

To get started, read the Hive Multisig post and prepare your account for 2FA. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us on our Discord.

If you wish to test this Beta version, first disable Keychain production version, and install Keychain Beta instead.

After setting up Keychain Beta, test active authority operations (transfer for instance), on the account you've set up for 2FA. Keychain will automatically detect that it needs to use Multisig, and that one of the signers is a 2FA bot.
An additional field will appear for you to enter your One Time Password, and... voila! You have 2FA on Keychain!

2FA is a need of time and its necessary to have another layer of security and glad that @keychain has integrated this. Great development on the security side.

This is a nice upgrade for the keychain.
