پیش از من و تو لیل و نهاری بوده است
گردنده فلک نیز بکاری بوده است
هرجا که قدم نهی تو بر روی زمین
آن مردمک چشم‌نگاری بوده است

Salam, @tamim. It's heartening to see Omar Khayyam, here, on Steemit! He was a formative influence for me, as a teenager, and I still read Persian literature for inspiration and sustenance, as a poet myself, decades later.
