Though I turned this account over to a relative, way back in the steem days and became mostly active under a different username, since they didn't get into posting much, I just decided to hold it for the grandkids, as an investment (college maybe?)
Who knows? Hive might hit $100 per one day in the near future. If it does, then I figure it might help them more than expected, so why not at least keep it growing -even if it is ever so slightly:)
Posting once in a while and collecting some HBI, certainly helps to keep this account alive and growing a bit more.
That's about it, for now, whoever runs across it (maybe some old friends?) Some know where I disappeared to and I suspect some others figured that out in those old Steemit days.
Either way; stay happy, you certainly deserve happiness.

Back in the Steemit days I was a little bit scared when I noticed some angry man was upvoting all my posts. I figured out it was you when I saw wallet transfers between you and him.
I have a lot of fond memories of the Steemit days although the Steemit website is something I've almost completely forgotten about. Though a few months ago I remembered it and paid a visit to the site. I followed the drama with some guy stealing your username by putting a dash in it. You totally had me believing it for a long time.
Hey, Mr. Ninja... Yeah, I surmised you knew of my transition and occasional input here way back then. It was during that period when I was trying to give this account away to a friend or relative, but each time, they quickly lost interest. I was helping to support that 'Short Story Writing Contest' and at one point decided to just give most of whatever was earned here away to other members, after the account was back in my hands again; by way of the contest prize pool.
It felt sort of weird, when I started to get a few same friends/followers here as with my main account (which was more successful) I never intended to be sneaky about the whole thing. Now, I'm just sort of holding it for the grandkid's future. Any one of them are welcome to take it over at any time, should they choose to do so.
I'd forgotten about steemit for a long time, like you... but last year I returned there for a short while to decide what to do with it. Thought it was time to start transferring funds to Hive. It was easy with that 'swap app' at first, but their servers went down in a fire; they never resumed the service.
That guy who seemed to want to mimic me on steemit, was real... Some digging indicated that it was someone with multiple accounts, possibly farming for votes/rewards. At first, I thought it was a joke. You can see how the similar looking user-name might cause conflict with members, thinking it was me, should the scoundrel attack them in some way.
You could swap Steem for Hive on Hive Engine but the liquidity is so low you might not get a fair deal. I would recommend the Hive/Steem liquidity pool on TribalDex because the liquidity would probably be better.
Wow, that guy on Steemit was a good writer and did a fine job of copying your style. So much so that I ended up believing that you created that account just to be funny and entertain everyone with the conflict between you two. Its bizarre as to what his motivation was given that he seemed bright enough to simply create his own content without mimicking other users. Now it appears he powered down all the Steem from the account and sent it to an exchange.
