My wife and I have been talking about how kids these days have it too easy. We’ve been talking about ways that we can implement to teach our kids how to work. Make them more responsible. Help them understand how important it is to be a hard-working human
we’ve been adding little things to our kids, lives and making them more self-reliant as well. I hope we’re doing a good job because I’m tired of hiring 19 and 20-year-olds that I’ve never done anything hard in their life.
we recently got a new video game for Christmas. This donkey Kong game.
last night I was playing with them. I was trying to get as far as they could without dying. We got to a hard level and my kids just said don’t worry dad we can just skip this level. I was like did you guys found a cheat code?
they responded by saying no, when you die, a certain amount of times it just asks you if you would like to skip the level.
what? I couldn’t believe it. Now we’re just letting people skip video games. You don’t even have to work hard to try and pass the level. I thought this was the last thing that they had to work hard for these days and now they’ve taken that away.
LOL.
This is out of control. I made a new rule. No more skipping levels. You have to pass the level in order to continue in the game.
I’m gonna have to step it up as a dad and keep teaching them this stuff.

Fire up the original on the SNES and let them have a go at the mining stage.

I have played that one, it's a tough game. You may have to step up to help the kids pass a lot of those levels. It's a fun game though!
