Traveling Alone with Kids

in #kids8 years ago

When my girls where 3 and 1 I took them home to Germany for the fist time by myself.
It was very exciting and a little bit daunting but with the right planning we managed to have a wonderful flight and an amazing holiday.

I can definitely recommend to take a carrier for your baby and to baby wear as much as possible. That way you still have both hand free for your toddler and luggage

For my toddler we bought a Trunki suitcase which was a lifesaver when she didn't feel like walking on our stop over
She was able to sit on it and I could pull her behind me

I packed it with heaps of little toys and snacks that kept the girls occupied during the flight

I also made sure I didn't interrupt their routine too much. I took pyjamas on board, we brushed our teeth and I took their favourite teddy bear and night time music. That way we all got some sleep 😴

In December i will be taking my 3 children over by myself. The girls will be 6 and 3 and our little boy will be 1. I am sure it will be challenging but I am looking forward to it, maybe someone can share some tips on flying with 3 ?
