For this week's song, I wanted to share a collaboration I did with my daughters. A couple weeks ago, we decided that for an activity we would write a song together. My youngest daughter became very excited and said almost immediately, " I know just what we can do, Dad". So I opened my songbook and began to take down my daughter's ideas on the page. She almost instantaneously came up with the concept of "Everybody loves a little bit of love", "Everybody needs a little bit a love". I quickly responded back with, "keep it in your heart no matter where you are." From that point, the song just seemed to write itself, as my girls and I battled back and forth, trading lyrical ideas.

All in all, the song took about 30 min to compose. It definitely has a very retro vibe that reminds me of 1960s folk and pop. Yet, regardless of the era of sound, I feel that the theme is certainly universal. I was so proud to have composed this tune with my girls. It was their first song collaboration. I feel the important aspect of this was that we worked to compose the tune together as a family and had fun together. Yesterday we captured the video and recorded this for you all. I hope you enjoy this song and carry its message into all that you do. Especially, please remember to do some sort of fun activity with the children in your life any time you can. We all need to have fun and of course, everybody needs a "Little Bit Of Love". Peace to you from us to you. See you next week.

@curie Thanks so much for your kind words @elfranz ! I appreciate the opportunity to share my songwriting with you all! I live here in southern Ohio with my girls. I've been performing and writing music now for almost 25 years. In addition to performing music, I am also an educator in the local schools in my area. I am so gratified to be able to write songs and share them with others. It is my opinion that music is truly the universal language. It transcends nationalities, borders, politics and religion. Although, it can serve to better define such things as well. Yet, the most important aspect of music is that it can bring people together to share in fellowship, love for humanity and a new understanding among all people.
I am so grateful to be able to continue to create music, and it is my overarching goal to use my music as a vehicle to make the world a better place whenever I am able. I currently am performing in a new folk collective called Wildwood Franklin. I am very excited about this project, as we have plans to release several newly refined studio recordings later this year. As far as genre, the music I create tends to be all over the spectrum; fusing elements folk, rock, blues, jazz and country into a cohesive sound blend of Appalachian soul. I appreciate all the support and love that you and so many have shone me here on Steemit.com . I would like to encourage you all to please continue to tune in weekly at https://steemit.com/@wildwoodmedia to check out my year long "Song Challenge" blog. Also, if you enjoy this music or our message resonates with you, please consider going to our official web site at http://wildwoodfranklin.com and signing up on our email list to receive a free download and so we can update you on our progress and performance dates. We would love to have the opportunity to put a tour together at some point and connect with many of you live and in person. Thanks again and please remember to share the love. Peace, Morgan
