The Angostura Bridge.
This is a structure located between Ciudad Bolívar and Soledad, 5 kilometers upstream, both states of Venezuela; It is a mixed type road bridge with the central part hanging and lateral sections in concrete. The construction of the work took four years and was inaugurated on January 6, 1967.
From there you can see two rivers that are protagonists of one of the most impressive natural spectacles of Venezuela, the confluence of the Orinoco river and the Caroni, both waters They have a legend of aboriginal love ... which says that the Orinoco (man) and Caroni ( woman), they fell in love. They were never guilty of being born in different places, but their heart always beat with emotion, when the wind caressed their souls. The gods opposed that love but they, defying the obstacles, agreed to be away from the mountain and together go to the immense blue sea. That was the dream and they fulfilled it, from the orthodox and unorthodox they made a single theory .
After the well-known cultural history, this scientific history, these rivers do not come together since they have different densities due to the materials that they drag in their bed, one has darker and denser materials and the other has clay, its composition is so different that it takes to join, but sooner or later they end up joining.
