I came realize that the standards we see online on how good they cook their food are doesn't mean we must be of that standard, if the goal is just to handle your own meal, to lose weight and not get overwhelmed, just buying meat and marinate, and then cooking it with vegetables in one pot together is something I feel nothing to be ashamed about. Buy back glass noodles from the grocery store, boil under water and add whatever stock for the soup and some protein and fiber and that can be another variant without it being too complicated as well.
I feel complexity is something you add on to it than going into it straight, lets say if you got of grilled chicken all the time you can probably learn how to steam instead and learn something new, but not too new that it causes anxiety, slowly experiment for example if you have spices lying around and just have fun with it.
