Here's my thoughts on knowledge and intellect. There are a few rules but there really aren't any hard limits. Knowledge is like clay. The more you have, the more you can build. Intelligence in my opinion is the measure of how well you can build with the clay, and intelligence is something that can be built up. More intelligence means more complex and higher quality creations with the clay. The amount of clay to gather is infinite, there is no end to knowledge, there is always more to learn. When there is more clay, there are grander things to be built with said clay.
