I was nominated by my good friend and fellow steemian @nikolina to write my very own version of the #knowyourself challenge. The original challenge was created by another one of our very talented and fellow steemians @tamacvet.
Is it important to know yourself?
If you don't know yourself, then how will you know where you want to go on this so-called journey called life?
By enabling yourself to find your true identity, you will ultimately allow yourself to find the path with which you desire to take. And there are an unlimited number of pathways, but once you find WHO you are, WHAT you want to achieve and WHY then you will be able to decide upon this important question we must ask ourselves.
This takes time, however, and rushing into this could be extremely detrimental for a number of reasons, but the main one being- choosing/following the incorrect path.
It is very difficult and many times out of our control to go back and fix what has already been done. This can be very tough because the decisions or actions that we make are sometimes hard to live with because we know that there could have been a more desirable outcome...
Life is challenging, there are so many twists and turns, but you will ultimately find harmony when the time presents itself according to many internal, as well as external factors.
One thing I have learned is that in order to truly know yourself, you must seek wisdom and knowledge from others in your life who have had or continue to have a positive impact. This, as I have found, has really been one of the most important aspects towards reaching personal growth and #knowingyourself.
It is so important to think/ponder certain aspects where you can ultimately improve upon and better yourself. We often times know our strengths like the back of our hand, but we cannot forget about our weaknesses/struggles in our lives.
Reflecting on our weaknesses shall allow us to pinpoint where more attention needs to be paid in order to improve upon these attributes. Once you find what is holding you back, and conquer these elements, then you shall be on your way to a bright and boundless future filled with everlasting success, happiness and prosperity.
What do I know about myself thus far?
I am extremely passionate about the things I love in my life.
Respect is one of the most important concepts of my life- I learned this as I have grown wiser with age. I can thank my father for this particular characteristic because I used to lack an understanding of this key component of life.
I love to take the time to find my thoughts when I may be struggling or stressed out.
Inspiration is my motivation.
I don't like to get caught up in drama.
I am very goofy at heart and love to joke around even when the mood may be otherwise.
I can turn an awkward situation into a not so awkward one- I have gotten pretty good at this over the years.
I am extremely outgoing- my parents have always taught me to be social, exhibit quality manners and show respect to my elders.
I think of myself as an emotional person- sometimes I allow my emotions to get the best of me- still working on bettering myself here.
I tend to be a leader, rather than a follower.
I am relatively open-minded- when it comes to things- I love to try new things and step out of my comfort zone.
I have a mindset tending toward thinking to the future, but I still live in the present moment.
I am able to live with my mistakes, although they often haunt me for some time before I am able to let go.
I am spiritual, but not a religious person- I enjoy meditating to free my mind and work on my overall mindfulness.
I am a very happy person- I have never really experienced any dark thoughts because I think of life as a blessing.
These are just a few of things I have been recently thinking about, there were many more on my list, but for the sake of getting to in depth I decided to stop it here. I am going to keep the ball rolling and nominate a few others to take part in this wonderful and original challenge created by @tamacvet.
With that being said, I would like to nominate 5 of my fellow steemians because I am eager to learn/hear what they have to say regarding the Art of Knowing Yourself:
I hereby nominate:

I really enjoyed reading this post, I knew it's going to be an inspiring one.
I like the way you think and I feel like we have a lot of things in common when it comes to our mindset, hehe.
It's also great to get to know you a little bit better, you seem to be an amazing person to be around, positive and uplifting spirit.
I like this part, I can relate to this:
Thanks for participating in this challenge! :)
Hey, glad you enjoyed!! I thank you again for nominating me to take part in this challenge. I really enjoyed creating this post because it allowed for me to think hard about who I am and ultimately what I want to become, which is important for someone like me because I am still trying to figure out exactly what I want to do with my life.
We do seem to have some similarities, as we can tell from both of our posts. I always love to radiate positivity and think positive (grateful) vibes.
Glad you could relate, thanks for dropping by & as always respect from @conradsuperb
