My miner crashed mining 1 block per week (average) so I changed it to 3 per week just to see if I was doing it right.

Whelp, mined a block at that difficulty in a couple hours.

4397 coins...

Number 7 on the Richlist!

Noice! Not a bad haul with the change! Similar thing happened to me, changed the frequency from 50/day to 1/day this morning and shot up 6x in the number of koins! But the good news is, I have 6 weeks left on my miner vs 21 hours at current proof frequency.

It's the Steemit Inc devs trying to fix all the problems they ran into with Graphene basically.

Modular Upgradeability
Modular upgradeability enables us to rapidly add different features to the framework without impacting any other part of the blockchain. Scalability

Doing things without needing a hard fork is cool, unless there’s Justin Sun types running around calling the shots.

Being able to off load things that take up memory, like someone’s stake and posts, seems a little iffy in the same scenario.

Other than that if it’s run in a good manner I think they will have some pretty great stuff there. I’ll have to keep an eye on it and try to research how to get involved.

Damn, looks like you skipped right over the sign of the beast! 4k KOIN is quite a haul!
I just opened the Miner for the first time and keep getting error messages 'could not retrieve the POW height". It's only been an hour so maybe I should be more patient, lol. Will keep an eye out for an updated version in the coming days, thanks for the tips and updates on your progress.

Another thing that seems to be causing errors is allowing the miner to use every one of your cores/threads. Need to give at least 1-3 threads (often 2 threads per core) to run the rest of your operating system.

Yes, I haven't made that adjustment yet but will give it a try along with possibly trying another node. Maybe there's a list of alternate nodes on the github page? I'll have to come back to it later when I can give it my full attention. Thx

I've had that error one time and it hasn't returned since I restarted my comp.
I had a lot of weird errors at the start.
It seems to have gained stability though so perhaps these errors are server side.
I've heard advice given to try another node.

It's so buggy it's hard to say.
Technically it should never use the same nonce twice.

You might want to change the difficulty to make sure it doesn't bug out on you.
