Kora ICO: bank the unbanked

in #kora7 years ago (edited)

Kora aims to bank the billion of people in the world who is unbanked because banks are too far, not trusted and too expensive. So for instance african farmers don't have a safe place to put money and when they need a loan they don't have credit history or a cheap way to get funded. Same problem to transfer money which is very expansive for them.
There are already other projects out there which are similar like Humaniq (from which one of the two the Kora founder: Dickson Nsofor, comes from) and Omisego (which aims primarly to unbank the banked and is also a great project), however they are differend primarly for one reason: Kora is the only one which has in program to build a physical network of shops or other physical points where the manager can act like a middle man beetween Kora and the people, acting like a access point to the Kora decentralizated "bank".
Another important point is that Kora software will be built to be used also from a gsm phone whit no internet.
Dickson Nsofor has previous experiences in business in africa and china and he has a project related to distribuite cell phones to african people. He looks like a smart guy whit several job important experiences.

I put here the kora site url and the url to a video interview to Dickson in which you can see him , i always think that you got to look at the man who made the honey before to buy it.
In this days the ICO presale is already starting but i think you can still register or apply for the following ICO steps
