The festival lasts nearly 2 weeks. But the most magnificent event was held on May 12, when more than 100 thousand lights were lit on Seoul night, and on Chonno street was a festive parade. A month before the start of the festival, all the streets of the city are decorated with different colored chandeliers, which light up at night, lighting up the road.
In addition, in the Buddhist temples of Ponyns and Choges, as well as along the Chongcheon River, a lantern exhibit is installed. Every year, the exhibition presents a variety of lights. And in Buddhist temples there are special services and activities. Anyone can come to Choges temple and make lotus lanterns.
And in town there are concerts and performances, most of which are free. In the square near Chongqak station, a free Korean traditional dance and singing performance is arranged. So anyone can come and have fun.
