오늘은 과거를 추억해보려 해요.
때는 2016년 겨울, 대학교 베프였던 규민이와 함께 해외여행을 계획했습니다.
이 때 저는 퇴사를 하고 사업을 하던중이었는데요.
이제와서 생각해보니 사업보단 단순히 직장이 싫어서 나왔던 것 같아요.
I am going to remember the past.
In the winter of 2016, I planned a trip abroad with Kyungmin Lee, who was a university student.
At this time, I was leaving and doing business.
Now that I think of it, I think I just came out because I do not like work.
무튼, 이 친구와 함께 말레이시아에 있는 코타키나발루란 곳에 여행을 다녀왔습니다.
우리 둘다 준비가 철저한 애들이 아니어서 별 준비없이 그냥 떠났죠.
여행 계획도 없이 그냥 특가가 떠서 "갈래?", "가자!"하고 다녀왔어요.
Anyway, I went on a trip to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia with this friend.
Both of us were not thoroughly prepared, so we just left without preparation.
Without a travel plan, I just went out with a bargain to go, "Go?" And "Go!"
그리고 그 곳에 도착해서 알게된것은 이슬람국가라는 것 그래서 하루 5번 기도를 드린다는 것.
그로인해 시간대를 잘 못 맞추어 식당에 가면 식사를 하지 못한다는 것.
그리고 돼지고기를 먹지 않는다는것..
And it was the Muslim nation that got to know it, so we prayed five times a day.
It means that if you go to the restaurant with the wrong time zone, you will not be able to eat.
And do not eat pork.
다른 건 그들의 문화라 이해는 했지만, 음식이 안맞는 건 정말 아쉬웠습니다.
태국이나 필리핀만가도 바베큐가 지천에 널렸는데,
여기서는 돼지고기를 먹지 못한다니..
I understand that other things are their culture, but I was really sorry that the food was not right.
Even if Thailand or the Philippines were the only barbecue,
You can not eat pork here.
하지만, 파는데는 다 있더라고요.
관광지로 유명한 곳이니;;
그 곳에 가서 실컷 먹었습니다.
But it's all about selling.
It is famous for tourist attractions;
I went there and ate it.
어쨋든 첫째날은 바다를 즐겼습니다.
스노쿨링하면서 니모도 보고 씨푸드도 흡입하고 말이죠.
코타키나발루는 반딧불도 봐야한다는데 저희는 남자 둘이라 그냥;; 스킵했습니다.
Anyway, the first day enjoyed the sea.
While snorkeling, I saw Nemo and also seafood.
Kota Kinabalu should see fireflies but we are two men; I skipped it.
그리고 저녁에는 시장에가서 이것저것 구경도하고 길거리 음식도 즐겼습니다.
마무리는 맥주로 딱.
근데.. 정말 태국, 필리핀과는 전혀 다른 느낌입니다.
더운것만 같아요.
And in the evening, I went to the market and enjoyed the street food.
The finish is perfect with beer.
But ... I feel very different from Thailand and the Philippines.
I think it's hot.
어쨋든, 다음날은 시내를 돌아다녀봤는데, 음.. 볼게 없더군요.
관광지도 뭐 우리나라 불국사나 석굴암 느낌이라 크게 감명받진 않았습니다.
Anyway, the next day I roamed the city, but, uh ... I did not see it.
Tourist sites were not impressed because of Bulguksa Temple or Seokgulam Dam.
그리고 코타키나 발루가 세계 3대 석양 중 하나라고 해서
이름모를 해변으로 갔는데요.
글쎄요... 잘 모르겠습니다. 제가 감정이 메마른건가요..?
And because Kota Kinabalu is one of the three greatest sunsets in the world
I went to the beach with no name.
Well ... I do not know. Am I feeling emotional?
총평을 남기자면 필리핀, 태국보다는 전혀 즐겁지 않았습니다.
위 두곳을 생각하고 가신다면 말리고싶네요.
먹거리, 유흥(유흥이라고해서 나쁜것 생각하시면 안되요), 놀거리 전부
다른 동남아가 낫던거 같아요 ㅎㅎ
Overall, I was not happy at all over the Philippines and Thailand.
If you think of the above two places, I would like to dry it.
Food, entertainment (you can not think of bad things as a nightmare), all the fun
I think other Southeast Asian countries are better.
물론, 지극히 개인적인 의견이라 너무 신뢰하진 마세요.
제 여자친구도 코타키나로 여행을 다녀왔는데 정말 좋았다고 합니다.^^

어쨋든 한국은 지금 추워 죽겠는데 저곳은 너무 따뜻해보이네요.
사진을 보니 그때가 너무 그립습니다.
얼른 2월, 3월이가고 따뜻한 날이 왔으면 좋겠어요.
Anyway, Korea is going to die cold now and it looks so warm there.
When I look at the picture, I miss that time too.
I want to go to February and March and have a warm day.
