7.Daegu
When we travel, not everything has to be visited museums, temples and monuments. We also thank you for a day of relaxation where you can enjoy shopping, gastronomy or simply walks around a city . A good destination for this is Daegu, a modern base city perfect for visiting the aforementioned Haeinsa Temple. The Seomun Market is the biggest city , and there is a night market where you can enjoy snacks that are a delight.
8.Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
In South Korea temples are found in the mountains. But there are some exceptions, such as the attractive Haedong Yonggungsa built on a cliff by the sea. To reach it you have to pass first with large statues representing the 12 zodiacal signs of oriental culture, leave behind a pagoda, go down a good number of stairs and cross a bridge. 9.Market Jagalchi
One of the major tourist attractions in Busan , the port city of South Korea, is this large market divided into three zones: a large building on the ground floor where fresh fish are sold (so fresh that in some cases the fish are killed in front of the buyer); On the top floor there are small restaurants where you are prepared at the time what you bought on the bottom floor; And the last is the street market where you can see the dried fish hanging in the stands and exposed to full sun. It is a comfortable place for the visit, it calls attention how clean everything is and also the things that sell, Some unknown to Westerners who were surprised by looking at those sea cucumbers or a species of marine worms that do not stop moving on the trays in which they are placed. It is certainly a spectacle to see how the eels clean with the skill of those who spend several hours each day doing the same.
10.Jeju Island
Only 64 kilometers separate this island, the largest of Korea, from the peninsula. It is famous among Koreans for its strong winds, its landscapes and its women (less men live than women in Jeju). It is a perfect destination for nature lovers. The center of the island is occupied by Hallasan Mountain, an inactive volcano where 1,800 species of vegetation live, dozens of deer and an ecosystem that makes the island one of those unique places on our planet. If spring or fall in Jeju give a beautiful color palette, beach lovers will have a good destination here to visit in summer.
