I SAID, "KRISHNA IS REAL. RIGHT?"

We met tonight at a devotee's house. Kirtan and Krishna Book. And then opened up the assembly to discussion. It got quiet. New lights anyone? Quiet.

I asked, "How do we access these new lights?"
And it took off from there.
One suggestion was to follow all the rules and regulations and instructions of Srila Prabhupada.
But I asked, "How can that be possible? There are so many rules and regulations and instructions. How is it possible to follow all of them?"

I was told it is a process. a long process. But that makes Krishna consciousness very difficult. Isn't it easy by the grace of Lord Chaitanya?

Then I was told to chant a lot of rounds. a lot. Just keep chanting and chanting.
But there are people who chant umpteen zillion rounds and still have not achieved love of God.
I said, "It is not simply knowledge. There is something else."
Everyone agreed yes, love. but the love they spoke of was gratitude. That's okay. But thank you for what? Knowledge?

One devotee yelled out in desperation. But I can't follow anything. I can't follow any rules. All I can do is sing and pray and chant. I'm so unfortunate I can't do anything else.

I know this devotee. He is not pretending. He really can't do anything else and he really does sing and chant all the time in helplessness. What a great soul.

So there we were trying to find Krishna together. Someone offered, not to try to see Krishna but to act in such a way that Krishna will see you.

What is that way to act?

I said, "Krishna is real. right. I mean He really exists. If we please Him He will reveal Himself. He is in everyone's heart."

So the discussion went on like this for quite some time. It was interesting to be with devotees who were all very different from each other. Each one was very beautiful in their own special way. Krishna peeping out from their hearts. Just looking for their love. Krishna is playful.
Prasadam at the big table was fun. Felt like a family of relatives at a holiday.
