I'm simply responding to the title, as I've not gone far through your video- kindness and gentleness are material qualifications, just as stupidity and weakness, though.
Their value is in the consequences (karma) their exercise generates, which obviously include effects upon the one who exercises them- still within the material, phenomenal realm.
