i just want to share my 1st ever blog here in steemit!
well.. since this season, it is SUMMER!!!!!... can go to the beach here and there, go out of town with your friends and your family or maybe "STAYCation" hehehe :)
I just want to share with you my summer experience in Mati, Davao Oriental. It was so unforgettable because Im with my special someone (ayeeee). Right now, Im sharing this with you all some experiences and also the costs.
When you came from other country and plan to go to the Philippines (Manila or Davao)
When you came from other places in the Philippines (e.g Tacloban, Manila, Cebu)
once you are arrive in Davao, you go to Ecoland Bus Terminal to ride a bus or a Van in Gaisano Mall in Davao (famous mall) but as we went along we rode through bus at the Ecoland Bus Terminal with the fare of 200 pesos 4-5 hours of travel, while on travel we seen everything through the places like developing areas of Panabo, and lively area of Tagum City, greenery rice fields and forest areas in Compostela Valley Province and before we enter Mati the blue wide waters and green wide forest of some areas of Davao Oriental (just imagine that) :)
we arrived at Mati with super duper hot atmosphere almost at 9am! at first we strolled around the Mati Proper via tricycle :) and we finally went our 1st itinerary their Provincial Museum that renowned here in the Philippines is Subangan Museum
Subangan Museum is intended to be an income-generating project to keep it sustainable. It is open daily (Monday to Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance fee is P100 for foreign nationals, P50 for locals, P30 for residents, P20 for senior citizens and students outside Davao Oriental and P10 for students and children within Davao Oriental.
A huge skeleton of a sperm whale called DavOr greets you as you enter Subangan’s doors. At 53 feet long and weighing 20 metric tons (live weight), it's the 7th largest in world exhibits. DavOr was found in Davao Oriental’s shores and attests to the province’s clean waters. It's the museum’s focal point, and rightly so, as the concept of the museum evolved around it. But in viewing DavOr, you also get to know the history, culture, natural heritage, and direction of the province and its people.
It was so wonderful place that with all the fruitful knowledge in their cultures and traditions of DavOr.
Next place, we were suppose to went Menzi Resort (but according to the driver/tour guide) it might be so dangerous to swim coz of big waves (but it is good for surfing actually but we dont know really and literally to swim so we terrified both surfing :) :) :) ). So he (the driver) recommend us in Blue Bless Beach Resort, from Mati Proper we travel around 30 minutes to reached there. T'was sooooooooooo fun and smooth! :)

Blue Bless beach resort, it is located in Sitio Pitugo, Barangay Bobon, Mati City, Davao Oriental. A wide range of cottage, rooms with beautiful pools and blue clear sea. Plus the sumptuous foods that so affordable, the area itself has this very good ambiance! Known for its white sand beaches and huge waves. The resort has their floating cottages on a cliff and the view of the blue waters was really inviting.
You may rent the floating cottages here or rent a room if you want to stay overnight. The sea may get deep in the middle of the day and it would be sad for those who wants to enjoy swimming but don't know how to swim. No worries as they have water floaters you can borrow. They also have other amenities like billiards, swimming pool, videoke, convenience store and even a resto bar. Also, if you like to go island hopping, the resort has a boat that can take you to Wanibad Island, a secluded island where you can relax and enjoy the beach.
Rates (according to budget)
room - php1000/day (non-air good for 2)
pool - php80 per person
big bike on a beach (php500 for 15 minutes)
food (for our brunch and dinner est. php 1300)
We were glad that our one day vacation in Mati so worth it ! Thanks Blue Bless Beach Resort!
Finally last place we took before we went back to Davao, we went to their public park around almost 10am... and that was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot!!! so we were just two... (well I just want to took a picture of I <3 Mati statue there as souvenir :) :) :) )
(but unfortunately, our pic of the statue on my previous phone :D )
To sum up in our vacation, Mati, Davao Oriental it so majestic area specially you want yourself to be relax because of so many left and right beaches and very accommodating for their tourist. We love to go back all over soon!
