Giant Pink Snail

Recently discovered a giant snail, a pink snail has been found only on the peak of Mount Kaputar in New South Wales, Australia. NSW National Park and Wildlife Service released a picture of this snail.

"A series of volcanoes and millions of years of erosion have carved dramatic landscapes on Mount Kaputar National Park creating an exciting world with some very colorful residents," the National Park Service posted along with photos.

this pink snail is about the size of 22 cm, and width of 7 to 10 cm.

Also note that 17 million years ago a volcanic eruption erupted most of the forest. Only a few forest areas remain, including in the area of ​​Mount Kaputar. In its development, the remaining forests are isolated and in fact become a paradise of this typical invertebrate species, the pink slug.
