Your talking about Christmas crackers reminded me of the day I was hanging out in one of the discords and someone was talking about getting ready to fly and finding out that Christmas crackers was on the list of items not allowed in carry on luggage.
Much wise-cracking about them was going on and before long I realized they had no idea what Christmas crackers were. They were assuming because of the word 'cracker' they were a food item and the idea of them not being allowed to carry them on to snack on was totally idiotic.
Finally I told them.. guys.. Christmas crackers are not food.. they could be seen as a small explosive. Someone looked them up and was OMG.. I never knew. I grew up with them at the table. The idea of someone not knowing was odd to me but funny.
