Decided to take a day trip to Estes Park, Colorado, a popular tourist destination and home to the Stanley Hotel(which also served as inspiration for the hotel in Stephen King's "The Shining"). Also home to some beautiful mountain views!
Seemingly wild horse we discovered on the side of the road, in a little town near Estes Park.
View from the road entering Estes Park. Nice preview.
Nice lakeside view as we entered the town.
Spectacular view of the mountains from the road out.
Amazing view on the way out. Moon was in the perfect position!
A valley formed by the mountains. Some awesome features here.
Cool rock formation somewhere deeper in the park.
Overall very nice day in the mountains, I'd love to go back again!
P.S. Thank you for looking! If you enjoyed these photos, please vote and comment. I'm new to this whole steemit thing so and comments are appreciated. :)
