El Teide National Park located in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain is a World Heritage Site. From the moment you start to climb from sea level you can see how the landscape changes, and it is ideal to spend a day enjoying everything you can do there, like walking around, climbing by cable car to the top of this volcano active, or just sit and contemplate the imposing nature that nature gives us.

Friend Mike, it's always a pleasure to read you. My parents were born in Tenerife, I have 2 brothers who live there and I visit them every so often, although I have not done so for a couple of years. In El Teide National Park you would enjoy doing your job, because apart from the astronomical observatory located there, there are a good number of birds that would be of your interest.
