It was a journey of a lifetime. The c. 2,500km of coastal road called the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. It ranges from the Northern Highlands with its soaring cliffs, to the remote islands of the Surf Coast and the Southern Peninsulas. A photo series and a throwback to my 2017 holiday around Cork, Galway en Donegal in Ireland.

One of the Longest Defined Coastal Routes in the World
The Wild Atlantic Way is one of the longest defined coastal route in the world. It is located along the Irish west coast and features several wonders of nature. Enchanting vilages, ancient monuments, stunning clifs and countryside in all its diversity. Behind every bend there is a new delight.
It is a meeting of water and land, of wild terrain, emerged with towering cliffs. Along the coast you can find several bays and beaches, as well as mystical islands each with their own story. A trip to the Wild Atlantic Way is a trip to the past. I loved the experience. It took us 2,5 weeks to cover most of it. All around Cork, Galway and Donegal.
Wonderful photos. I was lucky enough to grow up in West Cork which is the start of the Wild Atlantic way, as you probably know. What part of the journey was your favourite?
Awesome! My favourite part was the Slieve League, some amazing viewpoints (as two photos above show!).
I haven't been there but it's certainly given me a reason to travel up the country for a look!
Stunning work. More blue sky than I saw in my week in Ireland. You were blessed...and made the most of it.
Just drop me a note should you wish to have any tips to plan your journey! :)

Lovely pics. My mother was from Co, Mayo on the Wild West coast. I have been to the area a few times as I still have cousins living in Belmullet.
That's great! I wish I could go there soon again... Lovely scenery.
Look at that green on the 7th picture! You have that feeling for a moment capturing that many photographers are missing.
I was invited to a wedding in Ireland a few years ago and I was stunned by the country side. It's so wild! I would have never expected that from a European country.
Your photos are so vivid! I love them. Pray tell, what camera are you using?
