In this post I want to talk about winemaking in China.
And I will be helped to understand this tourist excursion to the ChangYu Wine Culture Museum located in the city Yantai (Zhifu Qu)
At present, there is a surge in interest in wine in China. With growing prosperity, the Chinese are beginning to be interested in this noble European drink. It has long been no rarity that the Chinese are buying up expensive collectible wine around the world.
But the most interesting is that as early as the beginning of the 20th century, the Chinese, with the help of the French winemaker, began to create their own winemaking industry. And in this they have succeeded enough.
Yantai is the first city in China to start producing wine and having a huge wine base. Now Changyu, located in this city, is a famous Chinese wine brand. Also it includes such brands as Roullet-Fransac Cognac (France), Chateau Mirefleurs (France) and Marques Del Atrio (Spain).
The company's visiting card is the ChangYu Wine Culture Museum located in the city Yantai (Zhifu Qu).
The territory of the museum resembles a French village with a neat and well-groomed French garden and slender rows of vineyards.
About twenty kinds of grapes grow here.
Of course, wine is not produced here now, but the very atmosphere of the museum complex is imbued with the spirit of winemaking. China does not cease to amaze, because preserving the millennial tradition, it is always open to everything new. And it adapt this new to its own terms, while maintaining high quality.
So, if you see a wine or brandy Changyu - you can safely embark on their tasting. I think you will not be disappointed.
