I like the first photo where the two sides are like talking to each other. All your shots are definitely worth your time. Keep it up!
Thank you so much!
absolutely beautiful man! That is the type of quality photography I am looking for. I would love if you could tell a little about your equip and what you used for these. Also, how did you achieve this effect?
I do not quite get it :D Looks like a longer exposure and then you moved the lens upwards? Or is it photoshop? :)
Keep it up!
Thanks so much! Regarding my equipment I own a Canon 6D and a Canon T2I, a 35mm, 50mm, 85mm prime lenses, 28-135mm, 10-24mm, 70-300mm.
As for the image above you can get this blur effect 2 ways. The way that I did it, in Photoshop. You duplicate the layer and apply a vertical motion blur effect and then mask out what you don't need.
The second method is a technique called ICM (intentional camera movement) witch implies moving the camera in the desired direction during exposure. But so you know doing that everything will be blurred. There are other ways too. If you're interested I could make a tutorial.
Here's an in camera motion blur photo.
You should do some photoshop tutorials!
I will, starting February :)
Thanks a lot for this awesome reply! I have to check this out myself :)
My pleasure! :)
Great idea - now I'll have to remember one day to give it a shot.
Take a picture, go to photoshop, multiply layer, cut away the parts that you want to be blurred from the top layer, add vertical motion blur effect (or any blur) into the lower layer.
I'd like knowing, as well.
I'm in love in first photo!
Glad you liked it!
Beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Wonderful pictures! ... The colors of the forest are incredible!
I supose that pictures are done in the beginning of October, isn't it?
Thank you! Yes, they were shot mid October
Wow! You took beautiful pictures. I am in love with the first one, it really looks like the gate of heaven. So beautiful and untouched nature and the clouds are the gate.
Thanks so much! So happy you enjoyed them!
Some amazing shots. My favorites are the very first one, I like the transition in the trees on the two sides of the river. I also really like the night time shot. Do you mind if I ask for your recommendation on cameras? Do you have for example a top 3?
Hi @raoul.poenar I love this photos you took. So amazing. I can only imagine how breath-taking it must have been in real life. My husband @jade3141 showed me this post so I am going to up-vote, resteem, and follow. Thank you so much!

You are very talented @raoul.poenar, thank you for sharing your pictures 🌟
Thank you for your kind words!
are the gun control laws there very restrictive?
Yes there are! Why?
In America we are lead to believe that Europeans can't buy guns and that their restrictive laws are what leads to their low crime rates, what do you think about that?
Sorry I'm not very familliar with this subject.I'm trying to concentrate on the bright side of the world
That's how you know the laws there are not that bad!

Thank you so much! So glad you liked it!
Fantastic series. The ombre in the leaf colors from bright green to fiery red in the first picture in particular was striking.
I find myself called to the wilderness often from the city I live in. I have lived in a mountain area where it was easy to forget towm was just 15 minutes away and I loved to explore the blanketed floors of the forests and stand high above ravines that seemed to tumble into tomorrow.
Photography novice time: For your campfire shot, was this just a slower shutter speed that achieved this blur? I am always afraid of burning an area on my sensor with longer exposed flames, but am I being way over precautious? I understand I would need a longer exposure at night since there is typically less light but in a shot like this, when could it become problematic?
Dont worry about it, light cannot do this kind of damage to your sensor.
Thanks so much for you comment. I too live in some what a mountain area.
Technical talk:
For the campfire shot I used a shutter speed of 5 sec and an ISO 400 at f3,5. Before that I took a couple of test shots because as you said the fire is brighter then the surroundings. With long exposures it's a hit and miss until you get the hang of it. I recommend takeing a couple of test shots but takeing account of what you're shooting and the amound of ambient light.I always underexpose a bit. You should experiment a little. The worst thing that could happen is that you'll get an overexposed image, that's all. Hope this helps :)
Seems like a real adventure you went on there. The pictures are simply stunning. :)
I wonder what type of equipment you use ?
Thanks so much! Regarding my equipment I own a Canon 6D and a Canon T2I, a 35mm, 50mm, 85mm prime lenses, 28-135mm, 10-24mm, 70-300mm and a couple of ND filters
excellent eye you have there... followed you for more of your pics. D
Thanks so much! Feelfree to stop here more often. Thanks again! cheers!
Stunner. That first picture is incredible. Lovely color. That said, I love all the low lying cloud. I love the mountains.
Thank you so much! My favorite is the black and white one :D
@raoul.poenar Thank you for taking us on this immersive, exquisitely captured journey. You have an eye for the absolute beauty of Nature. I, too, took refuge last summer for a few days in Italy on the picturesque pilgrimage to Assisi. Photos soon to come on my page. Well done!
My pleasure! Thanks for stopping by!
Tell me about it
Never heard of Sureanu Mountains. Felt something akin to an epiphany viewing that "Gate of Heaven"
Infact, too much beauty is bleeding from this post.

It must have cold up there.
I climbed a volcano at Tuluca Mexico and there was snow at the top.
Thanks for the pics.
Yes it was really cold and windy!
Great story and stunning pictures Raoul!
The colorful trees around the mountains are so beautiful!
I know this feeling you talk about, sometimes you just want to leave everything behind and go into the deep wild nature to enjoy the soothing silence, the fresh blowing air and the stunning landscape... ;)
Just now, I get great longing for such a beautiful nature... :)
Thank you so much! That colors lasted abot a week and after that it was all gloomy. Nothimg compares to the silence of the nature especially if you live in a big city
wow, Sureanu Mountains...should add it to my travel bucket list and excellent shots man.
Thanks alot @kazish !

These photos are stunning.
Thank you so much!
Must have been so blissful and enjoying right?
You're very right
Oh my goodness...is this place real? Is this in the USA? You are so fortunate to visit such a spot. It looks so calming and dreamy.
Thanks so much! Yes it;s very real and no, it's not in the USA, it's in Romania
I get that feeling on an almost daily basis. Jealous of your spontaneity and wish I could do that same! That being said, the photos are breathtaking. Bang up job!
Thank you so much!
gorgeous, friend!!
I like to escape whenever I can - you're lucky like me to leave within distance of some magical and beautiful places. I love the changes of the tree leaves. So gorgeous. Thanks for sharing and I hope you are a bit less stress free!
These are really stunning photos! I wish I could take refuge in the mountain forever lol 🤣 Thanks so much for sharing!
Gr8 photos... When I read your content ,which is very nice, I really felt myself at "The gate of Heaven". Well done... keep going. I will happily follow you.
I know the exact feeling that you described in the first paragraph, which prompted me to drop everything and leave my hometown last March to experiment and embrace a nomadic lifestyle in the USA. I've slowed down my travel over the past couple of months due to the onset of winter, but I'm about to head back towards the canyons and mountains with winter camping gear. I'm currently unable to invest in nice photography gear, but I've started to put aside funds regularly to make some equipment purchases down the road. I really enjoy the nighttime shots, and the shots with fog bring back memories of my forest experiences in Oregon and Washington! Thank you for that.
Thanks so much for the reply! I'd love to just drop everything and do what I love, trveling and photography but it is what it is. I appreciate the moments when I can escape and just be with me.
Have a great weekend and good luck!
Thanks for taking us to your mountains! Great photography!
Thank you!
