The highlight of the Ukrainian Carpathians is Lake Synevir. There are many lakes in Transcarpathia, but this lake is amazing. There is a legend that a picturesque lake emerged from the flow of tears of the Earl's daughter Xin, to the place where her beloved, a simple horde of Shepherd Virus, was killed by a stone deed on the orders of an insidious count.

How high above sea level is that place? That photo could've been taken in Finland. Ten latitudes south or further from here, vegetation starts looking very familiar when you go to higher elevations.
