As I write this little story, I remember the time when my parents were scared while I was learning to ride a motorcycle. I still remember the pain of putting Chetak on main stand. At that time, learning to ride was an achievement, when among your circle only a few could ride.
.
Present situation - I ride whenever I can, at least for two hours a day to 19-20 hours a day, from riding on highways to narrow roads to no roads. You can have immense experience of riding bike in the curves, you can lean, you can dodge potholes, control your vehicle with utmost ease. You can master the art of riding but.. but believe me ' You yourself will feel the FEAR once you ride on THIS ROAD ' . The moment you enter the circuit from Killar to Kistwar, you'll always have the fear of going over deep potholes , you'll always put both your feet down while crossing the slushes, you'll consider getting wet under the waterfall rather than going on the right side with no gaurd rails, you'll take 8 hours to cover 50 kms but you'll not put on the second gear, you'll become frnds with strangers and not leave them until you cross the stretch together, you'll be scared by the sound of your machine reverberating in the valley; not because it's so loud but because it's the only sound that you'll hear, and at last you'll be proud of your ride and yourself that you have over come your fear of riding on the ' India's Most Dangerous Road '
